Gospel minister, author, and relationship coach, Anietie Bature, releases her highly anticipated new single titled “Afo Amanam.”
The Ibibio titled song [a language widely spoken in the major coastal ethnic group in Southern Nigeria, primarily residing in Akwa Ibom State], which translates to mean “You’ve Done It,” stands as a heartfelt expression of gratitude inspired by her life’s journey and God’s sustaining grace.
The single, which is produced by Ugbesia Itua Fortune, features rich backing vocals from her band members, and is released with the unwavering support of her husband, Kingsley Bature, whom she describes as her biggest cheerleader.
Rooted in personal testimony, the single reflects on overcoming uncertainties, recognising divine providence, and giving thanks to God for redemption, protection, and provision.
The singer shares those difficult seasons, including the loss of her father, her children’s health challenges, and moments of career uncertainty. These experiences not only inspired the song but also deepened her gratitude to God, who saw her through every moment.
”From university, I had a scholarship, in my master’s, I had a scholarship. If you were to go with how much my family had, I had no business doing a master’s, especially outside the country. But God had mercy,” – She says.
With its reflective tone and sincere worship atmosphere, the track invites listeners into a space of thanksgiving, reminding them that even through life’s uncertainties, God remains faithful.
