HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOVERNOR AKINWUNMI AMBODE
Three years after the official date of Nigeria’s independence, God thought it well to bless Nigeria further with a Son, in 1963. Now, this Son has grown so much into a Man, graced to rule the excellent state of Lagos. He goes by the name Akinwunmi Ambode who was born on 14 June 1963 in Epe Lagos, into the family of Festus Akinwale Ambode and Christianah Oluleye Ambode.
As if he knew clearly that he would the Governor of Lagos Sate today, the most enterprising and exciting state in Nigeria, even in the world, he became an academic guru with further studies but first he graduated as an Accounting student in the University of Lagos at the age of 21 and went further also to gain a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
It obvious he wanted to make something gainful for his life and impactful to his generation. So one way to that is through the channel of education. Ambode was awarded the US Fulbright Scholarship for the Hubert Humpheries Fellowship Programme in Boston Massachusetts. He aslo attended the Wharton Business School, for Advanced Management Programme. Other institutions he attained for courses includes, Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield, England, the Institute of Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland, INSEAD Singapore and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Boston, U.S.A.
Today, at AmenRadio, we celebrate with his Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on his birthday. We pray that the grace of God will continue to embrace you with strength and wisdom in all hemisphere of your life. AMEN
