England and Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the third most valuable player in the world, according to a new study by the International Center for Sport Studies CIES

CIES’ Football Observatory reported Kane to be worth around 194.7m euros (£172.65m), just behind 25-year-old Paris St-Germain record signing Neymar, and 30-year-old Barcelona’s talisman Lionel Messi.

The 24-year-old England forward, who was in outstanding form the previous month December scoring great amount of goals and taking his tally for the year to 56 goals for club and country, making him the top scorer in Europe in the year 2017 ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kylian Mbappe is fourth on the list with an estimated worth of 192.5m euros (£168.5m). The young french man moved from Monaco to PSG during the last summer transfer window in a deal that will be completed by next summer.

Harry Kane’s Tottenham and England team-mate Dele Alli, 21, is sixth on the list 171.3m euros (£150.9m) and the second-highest Premier League player on the list ahead of the likes of Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne, 26, 167.8m euros (£147.4m) Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku 164.8m euros (£145.5m) and midfielder Paul Pogba, both 24 years old, 147.2m euros (£129.9m) who are the other England-based players to make the top 10on seventh, eight and tenth respectively.

Juventus and Argentina forward, Paulo Dybala, 24, 174.6m euros (£154.1m) heading the Serie A rankings and 26-year-old Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann 150.2m euros (£132.5m) both fifth and ninth respectively completes the top ten on the list.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 32, who is currently the world’s best male football player by FIFA at the 2017 Best Fifa Football Awards, is surprisingly 49th on the list and valued at 80.4m euros (£71.29m)

CIES Football Observatory calculated the values of players in the top five European leagues using age, position, contract duration, performance and international status.

**Cristiano Ronaldo surprisingly ranks 49th in the rating**

New Barcelona arrival Philippe Coutinho is 16th on the list, with the 25-year-old Brazilian play maker valued at £108.5m below what the La Liga giants paid for him.

25-year-old Barcelona’s German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, is the highest-valued goalkeeper at 96m euros (£85.13m) and 24-year-old Samuel Umtiti also of Barcelona is the most expensive defender on the list at 101m euros (£89.56m).

Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, 29, tops the Bundesliga ranking valued at (£94.88m)

The Premier League dominates the list, with five of the top 10 players and 13 of the top 20. In total, 46 of the players ply their trade in England, 10 of them English – Harry Kane, Alli, Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford, John Stones, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Nathan Redmond and Harry Maguire.
