Nigerian gospel singer John Olumayowa releases powerful hymn “Jesus Keep My Soul.”
This song builds on his recent hymn Hallelujah Jesus Rose Again. The hymn focuses on a believer’s surrendering to Christ amidst of the darkness of this world.
Speaking on the story behind the song, John Olumayowa said, “there are many things the enemy has strategically set around us to darken our souls. These things ranges from the little to the more advanced weapons of the enemy. If we are to see it through to life on the other side, we need to consciously and intentionally live in the understanding of Rom 12:1, a complete and simultaneous re-dedication of our souls to Christ should be our response. Having become a partaker in the divine nature by our experience of the death and resurrection into New Life through Christ Jesus, our response is to always commit our soul that the enemy is targeting to Christ for safe keeping.”
