Muller: Guardiola met with Man City? That’s not an issue
Thomas Muller insists the Bayern Munich players are unaffected by reports of Pep Guardiola’s meetings with Manchester City officials. Guardiola was pictured in Amsterdam with City director of football Txiki Begiristain last week as the Bayern boss plans for life in the Premier League next season.
But Muller says how Guardiola spends his days off makes no difference to the Bayern squad, who have remained focused on Bundesliga action and the Champions League last-16 second-leg clash with Juventus on Wednesday.
“We don’t mind if Pep Guardiola is sitting at home in his armchair or visiting someone somewhere else on his days off. This has no influence on our daily work, The club and coach always said that they would announce his departure in the winter. But this is no problem for the players.” says Muller.
