Gospel music vocalist and guitarist; Francis Ogude offers up a brand new single titled “Onime” produced by Elda.

The title of the song emanates from the Isoko language [a language widely spoken by Isoko People in Bayelsa, South-south region of Nigeria] simply translates to mean “My Mother” in English.

According to the singer, the song is in honour of his mother and all mothers out there.

It is a song born out of appreciation for his mother for being a mother indeed, and for all that she went through and stood for.

“Onime” emphasizes the bond that existed between his mother and him. It describes the mother as the salt of life.

With years of experience in music journey which dated back to the 80s and served as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the defunct Black Identity Band in the early 90s, Francis Ogude has proven to be a lover of good music no matter the genre and this fact is evident in this new song.

It is good to honour mothers in whatever condition the singer says because mothers have no duplicate.
