Paul Pogba has created a game world of his own with assists this season after joining the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane on nine assists for the Premier League season after Monday night’s game against Stoke City despite long absence in football due to injury and suspension.
The Manchester United star set up both Antonio Valencia and Anthony Martial for two first-half goals in a 3-0 win over Stoke on Monday night with the result helping United close the gap between leaders Manchester City to 12 points and confirmed Pogba’s as one of the three most outstanding players in the 2o17/2018 season, his second season after returning to England from Juventus.
The 24-year-old Frenchman has now registered the most assists in the fewest games from the top five leagues in Europe.
Manchester city’s De Bruyne has started all 23 of City’s Premier League matches this term, while Sane has made 21 league appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team, 16 of them starts, to reach their nine assists apiece.
Paul Pogba has also been directly involved in 14 goals in his last 14 Premier League appearance for Manchester United, and now tops the assist chart ahead of Neymar by just one game, with Augsburg left-back Philipp Max and Celta Vigo winger Pione Sisto trailing behind.
