Wenger: I thought… what if I signed Suarez?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he regretted not signing Luis Suarez but says he has now moved on from his failed bid to lure him to the Emirates Stadium. But Suarez eventually departed Anfield for Barcelona in a £75m deal 12 months later and Wenger says he used to wonder what his team could have achieved had he bought him.

The Gunners offered £40 million plus £1 to Liverpool for the striker in July 2013 in an attempt to activate a clause in his contract, but saw their attempts spurned by the Reds.
