Tourists Abducted in Southern Phillipines
Two Canadian tourists, a Norwegian resort manager and a Filipino woman have been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from a popular resort island in the southern Philippines, the army has said.
Philippines army Captain Alberto Caber said on Tuesday that the four were taken at gunpoint during a raid late on Monday night on the Oceanview resort on Samal Island, near Davao City, the largest city on Mindanao island in the restive southern Philippines.

Republican Presidential hopeful, Scott Walker drops out of race
Once considered a front-runner, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has decided to end his campaign for US president amid dwindling contributions and plummeting poll numbers.
Unlike some rivals, the Republican had a large and costly campaign operation.
He topped polls in the beginning of 2015 but lost popularity as Donald Trump began to dominate the race.

Federal prosecutors accused Henthorn of pushing his second wife, Toni Henthorn, off a cliff in Rocky Mountain National Park in September 2012 to get millions of dollars in insurance money. He has been found guilty of first degree murder.

Burkina Faso army to raid Coup leaders camp
Troops loyal to Burkina Faso’s deposed government said they were preparing to attack the Camp Naaba military base near the capital’s presidential palace, which is held by troops who staged a coup last week.
Loyalist troops have been massing in the capital on Tuesday and have told those behind the coup, which derailed a democratic transition process, to disarm and surrender by 10am (10am GMT) or face attack.
As the deadline expired, ex-spy chief General Gilbert Diendere held a press conference, saying he was still in charge and that he was awaiting the outcome of a ECOWAS summit in Abuja, Nigeria, where African leaders were discussing developments in Burkina Faso.

Chelsea Striker, Diego Costa charged with violent conduct
Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after his side’s 2-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday.
Costa, 26, put his hands in the face of Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny prior to clashing with Gunners defender Gabriel, who was sent off.
The FA has also charged Gabriel, 24, with improper conduct and both clubs with failing to control their players.
Arsenal are to appeal against Gabriel’s dismissal and three-match ban.

Indian cricket chief Dalmiya dies in hospital
Indian cricket supremo Jagmohan Dalmiya, who oversaw the country’s emergence as the game’s financial powerhouse, has died just months after his comeback at the helm of the national board.
The 75-year-old president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) died in a hospital in his hometown of Kolkata after falling critically ill with a heart condition last week.
His death triggered an outpouring of tributes, including from the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
