CHRONICLES OF MARINOE (Series Two)

CHAPTER TWO: ESCAPE, MALEW

        Marinoe is planning to escape her guardian, Gaius. The festival of the full Moon has started and her people are gathered at the centre of the town. Her friend, Kate has tried to discourage her many times than none but she failed. Kate is also interested in the adventure but the motive of Marinoe is questioned because of her revenge mission. Her guardian has been appointed by the Towns high Chief to be a part of his personal guards for that day. The high Chief, Grandun had been attacked twice by assassins in the last month. He fears for his life and needs expert in physical combat and protection. Gaius should love the opportunity and lay the whole of his heart to it but his mind is towards Marinoe. He knows she will try to escape and he intends to stop her. Gaius calls for his cousin, Jolovan. Jolovan had won the yearly Games Combat thrice and Gaius knows that he might be the only one capable of stopping Marinoe. Marinoe herself had thought of this thing and she intends to stop Jolovan before he stops her and expose her.

        Marinoe disguises herself with her friend Kate, as they move through the insurgent crowd. The high Chief Grandun prepares to make his speech and the crowd begins to beckon at themselves for a decorum environment. So the crowd stops their movement to listen to Chief Grandun. Marinoe and Kate have been stopped from moving within the crowd. Marinoe needs to move, Kate has an idea. Marinoe sights Jolovan, he is outside the perimeter of the crowd and he looks like he his searching for someone. Marinoe and Kate plan to create a distraction. Both are very popular and have a reputation and if they don’t escape clean here, they might lose their value. Marinoe is ready to give that up but not Kate.

Slogan has a crush on Marinoe but his friend, Printess. She has a crush on Slogan but he is not interested.
