FOOTBALL: England Midfielder Dele Alli sees one game ban by FIFA

England national team is set to be without midfielder Dele Alli for there upcoming game against Slovenia in the next series of there World Cup qualifier game next Thursday.
Alli was banned as announced by FIFA after his middle finger gesture during the England world cup qualifying match against Slovakia earlier this month and the English man was also fined 5,000 Swiss francs (£3,852) by Fifa, who says the incident on 4 September was “offensive and unsporting”.

“Although the disciplinary committee was not convinced that the player directed the gesture at the referee, and regardless of whether it was allegedly directed at a team-mate, it did consider such gesture to be offensive and unsporting. Therefore it amounted to a violation of article 57 of the Fifa disciplinary code.” A Fifa statement reports

The incident occurred after the midfielder was tackled by former Liverpool and present Slovakia defender Martin Skrtel, and referee Clement Turpin waved play on.
Alli then went ahead to make a middle finger gesture at the 77th minute of the game which appeared to be directed at the referee but Alli said his gesture was aimed at former Spurs team-mate Kyle Walker.

The ban has confirmed Alli will miss Thursday’s World Cup qualifier at home to Slovenia but will be available for there next game against Lithuania on Sunday.
England boss Gareth Southgate had provisionally included the Tottenham star in his squad to face Slovenia and Lithuania next Thursday and Sunday respectively, but admitted he ran the risk of looking silly should a ban be imposed.

England currently leads Group F in the European World Cup Qualifying region and a win in there next game against Slovenia will confirm there qualification to next year’s World Cup in Russia.
