PROSE POETRY:

NELSON MANDELA (Madiba) APPRAISED

Psalms (Nelson Mandela) sync prose poetry

The Warrior that defeated War,

A living sacrifice that gave acceptance a meaning,

He understood the understanding of forgiveness.

He is a book for leaders to read,

Even death did not overcome him.

To idolize would be an under statement,

It would be a fault on the long run.

To give honor to whom honor is due,

Even honor dropped her hat for him.

Some said he was a god among men,

Some called him an angel,

Others referred to him as an idol,

Majority have him to be their father, Madiba.

Even the world reckon with his personality.

Envied among saints.

The bad eggs wish they couldn’t boil like him,

Because when they fry, they stink.

He fought for freedom,

Later they said one good turn deserves another,

Then freedom fought for him.

The poor will ever praise him,

The ones whom he gave freedom from bondage

Will ever remember to give their votes of thanks,

The heart beat of the South,

The lungs of righteousness of the world.

Death came saw and conquered,

But failed to kill the records of goodness.

History was honored to birth the record of this legend.

It has been predicted by the wise,

That such person comes once,

Once in every thousand years and a day,

Should the world wait for another century, to receive such gifts from God?

I will be humble to obey this scripture,

Mourn with they that mourn,

For it is the Lords doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.

When I give thanks in everything?

Some find fault?

But I forbid my conscience to judge what I say.

Apartheid policy was the virus !

Mandela was the cure !

You can’t eat your cake and have it; they said;

But the southern worlds have their cake with history,

And have the support of the Oministory (God),

Till they have their cake for all eternity.

Grant them a wish?

And they will ask for a day with their Madiba.

They mourn,

Nations weep,

Countries went silent,

Towns deserted but not for violence,

Cities quaked,

Villages tremble,

Hills were moved,

Nature breaking her first law of nature.

The rain descended,

The thunders ascended,

The clouds proceeded,

The skies were obligated,

Snow was hot,

Although, Winter was warm,

Now Summer went cold.

People became one for a moment,

Birds sang endless songs in heaven,

The monkey’s endless chants for glory.

The opera honored all invitation,

The North ran to the South,

The East mourns with the South,

The West pays tribute to the South,

Even the South pay homage to attention,

To pay her last respect for this legend.

Oh! I heard it’s an under statement.

Take your place in paradise only without blemish,

Solace yourself with the saints,

Help me greet the Twelves’ and their master,

Send my pleasantries to Israel when you meet him Madiba,

And my displeasure to the couples,

Ananias and Sapphira,

Tell Moses, I am on my way to the promise land,

Martin Luther King Jr leads the way.

Tell Joshua to receive me on the other side of Jordan,

For I have to him a good report.

Tell the mother of nations Sarah, that I await her response of my request;

But

I know you are busy dinning with Abraham.

Tell him to send the arch angel of faith and long-suffering.

And most importantly;

If you see my Father,

Tell Him I want to be better than you,

And don’t forget my soul mate David,

Remind him to remind me not to follow all his steps,

Lest I place a curse on my generation,

I love him still,

But God loves him more.

Please he won’t kill you if you pay him a visit;

Saul my teacher that became Paul the apostle.

Say me ‘Hi’ to John the Baptist,

It was an honor I envy, for you to baptize Jesus.

Say me well to Jesus that I have accepted his Facebook request.

Rest in peace and receive contribution of Peace’s peace.

Live long in the hearts of the unborn generation.

A lot will be named after you even the Southern children.

The One that creates and destroys,

To the Holy One that gives and takes,

Be all glory and honor, forever and ever,

Amen.

Do have a lovely day
