Afolake Oso Releases debuts single “Baba”.

Afolake Oso refers to herself first as a child of God; and then a vessel in the hands of God with the releases of her debut single “Baba”. As a child she had loved singing and had a knack for picking out different parts in songs even though she never knew the professional terms used for each one.

She recalls that her journey into ministry was initiated at a time she didn’t have a father/ child relationship with God despite being a church goer. She was in a church one day; and while the choir sang, she was grieved with the way the song was rendered and she had a deep impression ‎in her spirit a voice saying she should be out there singing for him. There and then she knew it was God. The call did not however materialise until she gave her life to Jesus Christ as an undergraduate studying Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1995.

She was in the Choir of Charis fellowship aka Amazing Voices for 5years on Campus, she later joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where God used and is still using her to sing his praises and to identify vessels of Praise unto God.
While she has composed and sang several gospel songs, the track “Baba‎” is her first single. She recalls that the song was birthed during a morning devotion in her room. The song centers around Psalm 90 vs 1-2, talking about the eternal nature of the almighty God and his constant presence from one generation to another; his care for man that culminates into a spontaneous worship of the eternal God.‎

This song is dedicated to the most high God whose love remains constant from one generation to another and in memory of my great Dad Pa Abiodun Oluwole Olafioye, who showed me the way of the lord and in memory of my dear brother, Oladokun Olafioye, whose encouragement birthed the development of the song “Baba”.
