Album Review: “Indescribable” and “A New Beginning” by Isabella Melodies [Written By Maryam Otsokwa]
Isabella Melodies; a multiple award winning gospel artist; President of WAOMM – Women of African Origin in Music Ministry and a United Kingdom Based released her 7th and 8th studio album (double release). The albums are tagged “A new beginning” and “Indescribable” respectively.
“A new beginning” as produced by Niyi-P contains a total number of ten (10) tracks while “Indescribable” as produced by Wilson Joel also known as Music magnet of Doxology Music contains a total number of thirteen (13) tracks.
The songs in these albums are those which facilitate easy connection to the Spirit of God. To glorify God is the motivation behind the songs as well as to edify the spirit of the listener. Also, these albums feature songs sung in the Igbo language; one of the three major languages in Nigeria.
These albums also reveal that Isabella Melodies is highly inspired by the Holy Spirit even as she sings. Her praise and adoration towards God displays a deep spiritual understanding of God as one who demands and deserves to be praised. These songs direct us to look unto Jesus for everything; even when our strength is gone and when there are no words to say. The instrumental of all the songs were perfectly blended to produce a fantastic rhythm to the listening ear.
Interestingly, she released “Hallel” album for free download on the internet and also released the video for “You are a wonder” from the “A new beginning” album.
Why You Should Listen To These Albums “A new beginning” and “Indescribable”.
Talking about “A new beginning” album, all the songs are highly imparting and spiritual. “You are a wonder” expresses the amazing nature of God and how wonderful He is; full of glory and miracles. Still in that album, “Hallel” is that kind of song that gets you worshipping on your knees and praying- Hallelujah! Do you want to see miracles? Then, “Miracles” still on “A new beginning album” is that song to listen to, not just to edify your spirit but to boost your faith to receive of the abundance of God. Also powerfully packed in “A new beginning” album, “King of my heart” is a song that would naturally encourage you to dedicate your heart to God.
Still in the Spirit of imparting songs, “Revival fire fall” in the “Indescribable” album is a song that would re-ignite a burning passion to worship and serve God. It is a song geared towards reawakening. In that same album, “Nara Ekele” is a good dance praise song sung in Igbo; just listening to it can get you on your toes dancing. It would also be quite impossible not to talk about “In Jesus Name”; this song exhorts us to call upon the name of Jesus for our deliverance from all bondage and destruction of the devil.
It is no news that God Himself is Indescribable; the song “Indescribable” in the “Indescribable” album expresses the unfathomable understanding of God- in such a way that we can’t contain His nature, His grace nor His Person. The “Indescribable” album is filled with amazing and inspiring songs that would lead you into the deep and enriching presence of God.
Although each of the albums were produced by single directors that didn’t give room for varying methods of production, the albums still came out wonderfully well.
Isabella Melodies shares that this double release is prophetic and not alien to her as she released her 2nd and 3rd album together in 2012 and then the 4th and 5th albums together in 2014. She also shares that songwriting is one of her strongest gifts from God in which she receives new songs from God daily; therefore she has released these albums to glorify God as well as to bless His people.
It is also worthy of note that both albums comprise of contemporary Praise & Worship songs suitable for use during congregational or private worship time. The albums are available for download from all major online music stores.
