[Music + Lyric Video] Being Good – Josh O’Maiye
Renowned Nigerian gospel music minister, worship leader, songwriter, and vocalist, Josh O’Maiye, unveils a new single with a lyric visual titled “Being Good”.
This latest single, accompanied by well-detailed lyrics, is a follow-up to the recently released single “Goshen”, featuring Philipage in 2023. It whets appetite ahead of the forthcoming debut album project “The Good Album”, slated to be released later this year.
Josh O’Maiye shares the inspiration behind the song: “Being Good written off the back of quite a difficult few months. I lost my mum in very sudden circumstances in December 2023, and we immediately had to prepare to lay her to rest.”
He continues: “In the end, it is a song that recognizes that it’s been God all through. We do not always look like what we have been through, and that’s because God is still in the room. This song is for everyone who has a testimony. It’s for everyone who looks back and sees God in the room. Through the storm, complexities, and uncertainties of life. He’s been good to you. Hasn’t he?”
In the University, Josh O’Maiye was a member of the Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students where he served as Music Director for over 2 years. He currently serves as a member of the choir at The Elevation Church, Maryland.
