International UK-based Nigerian Gospel singer, songwriter, and recording artiste, Yemi Alafifuni, releases a new single with well-detailed lyrics and a lyric video titled, “DNA,” directed and shot by Elliot Foreman (for Elliot Foreman Films).
The thought-provoking song inspired by the saying “Carry God on your inside” and first written on a flight, combines stunning melodies with infectious grooves and great beats, to create a catchy, yet direct and edgy sound.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, Yemi says; “The song idea started over 20 years ago during a vibrant time at the university. I recall we would usually greet each other with a saying; “You carry God on your inside!”.”
“This was a constant reminder of who they were in Christ. This saying stuck with me for years! The presence of God is not a lofty abstract. It exists like our breathing, heartbeat, and bone marrow do.” – he continues.
