ENCOUNTER AT THE SHRINE (EATS PROJECT)

This special version of ENCOUNTER will take place at the New Afrika Shrine on the 18th of June 2016 (3-8PM) which will serve as an UNPRECEDENTED full blown Gospel outreach at the shrine, and by the grace of God, will also ignite the building of a strong passion for the gospel at venues like this. During Encounter, we will hope to: Demonstrate the joy of being in Christ, Expressing the love of God and manifestation of the power of God.
Part of the vision is to let everyone know that the body of Christ is reaching out to all people, for this reason we have enlisted the support of as many notable Christian leaders as is logistically possible, who will be present at the venue on that day. These include Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Pastor Ladi Thompson, Pastors Diran and Olufunmi Olajoyegbe (Hosts), Music and Dance Miniters include Mike Abdul, Sammie Okposo, Mike Aremu, Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN) with Sarah Boulos, Spirit of David (S.O.D) with Pastor Segun Lawal, Iyebiye, ICE, DJ Mow, Jo Deep and many up and coming acts.
There will also be a variety show from 3pm-5pm with loads of prizes to be won during the games and entertainment. A dance battle will be held from 5pm-6pm with a fantastic cash prize for the winner, this is being organized in partnership with ‘Wajo’.

BACKGROUND
GiG Time started in September 2003 as a fellowship meeting on Wednesday mornings focused mainly on Christians in the performing arts. Over the years, GiG Time Expressions and GiG Time Reforms were born out of GiG Time.
GiG Time now has the following expressions:
1. Encounter – An Evangelical outreach
2. GTW (GiG Time Worship) – A live production of Performing Arts In Worship.
3. P.H.A.S.E (Praise Him And Shout Emmanuel)- A Corporate Time of Praise & Worship
4. GTPM (GiG Time Power Meetings) – Monthly Fellowship Meeting for members.

Gig Time also has a Reforms Program:
5. GLT (GiG Leadership Training) – Empowerment & Reforms

This is run in partnership with our business arm (GiG Ventures Limited)
Encounter

Encounter is GiG Time’s Evangelical Outreach Expression with the following sub expressions:
1. Encounter on Campus – For Students on campus.
2. Encounter At The Shrine – Fun time at social gatherings / venues.
3. Encounter At The Beach – Fun day out at the beach for families, friends and groups.
4. Word Empowerment Encounter – Social And Economic Empowerment through seminars.
