Funke Akinokun works with Ace Producer, Wole Oni, on the release of yet another single dubbed “Mercy”.
Mercy is the second single to be released from the three consecutive Fridays scheduled releases which is to culminate her album release on the 15th of September, 2017.
The catchy intro and syncopation, gives an exciting feel, a soothing sound to an age long and daily prayer request of every individual; asking God for “Mercy”.
According to Funke Akinokun, “Mercy is very important. No matter how righteous we try to be, it is not good enough because the scripture states that our righteousness are like filthy rags in the eyes of God. Even David said in 2 Samuel 24-14, that it is better to fall in the hands of God than to fall in the hands of Man, because God loves us and He will show us mercy”
