[Music + Lyric Video] Mama – Kim Walker-Smith
Seasoned Christian gospel music singer, songwriter, worship leader, and recording artiste, Kim Walker-Smith, unwraps a new single with captivating lyric visual titled, “Mama,” in celebration of mothers globally.
The single, co-written by Walker-Smith, Jessie Early, Hank Bentley, and Mia Fields, will be in the forthcoming twelve(12)-track full album, “Trample,” set for release on June 7th. It comes after the release of her recent single in over three(3) years, “Boxes.”
Kim comments on the song: “I homeschool my kids and most of the work I do is within churches so I’m not attending school board or PTA meetings, but I’m not oblivious to the war that has been declared on our children.”
“As a mother of three young children, I cannot let my guard down for one second. This stirs a righteous anger in me. I want to use my talents to help in this battle.
While praying and talking to God about it, I felt God drop this song in my heart. The words and melody just came to me. I got with other songwriting parents who helped me finish this song.” – she continues.

With over twenty(20) years of worship leadership, she is known for her spirit-led worship anthems. She will be touring internationally this summer with a nearly sold-out South Africa tour followed by a headlining tour in the US this fall.
