The title “Chimusimudi” is a word rooted in Igbo language [a language largely spoken in the southeastern region of Nigeria] which translates to ”My God Says I Should Live” in English, is taken off Cally B’s album “Golden Grace.”
The track is a lively presentation filled with powerful words of faith and inspiration, speaking on the single, Cally B shares “Chimusimudi is a track in my Golden Grace album, it was inspired by my little niece who’s name is Simdi. She gave another meaning to the song probably by the definition of her name as her mum taught her.”
”When you provoke or threaten her she will reply with great courage – Chimusimudi. Then one day in my room while writing my songs she came in screaming and singing the name, so I began to create and think. When I got to the studio I realised that Lady P had a clear cut view of the song thus her feature on this song.”
Cally B currently serves as a Music Director at his local assembly – International Bible Believers Church, Nnewi
