Download: Arugbo Ojo – John Olumayowa
Prolific Ibadan-based Gospel Singer-songwriter and recording artiste, John Olumayowa doubles down with the release of “Arugbo Ojo” Live studio recording and video.
Formerly known as John Mayor, John Olumawoya speaking on the song says “I got the inspiration about Arugbo Ojo while preaching in a Church last year from Dan 7:9.”
“The presence of God as described in the passage is similar to the presence in Revelations chapter one and chapter four; worshipping Him for Who He is Opens the Door to Revelations.”
“Arugbo Ojo” a word popularly used among people of the Yoruba descent [a language popularly spoken in the Southwestern region of Nigeria] which means “Ancient of Days” in English, is a Christian Gospel ballad.
The song seeks to pay reverence to the Almighty and features beautiful harmonies and unusual arrangement but delivers as a solid Gospel ballad.
The single is accompanied by a video shot at Soundtech Studios and directed by Emmanuel Iyiola.
