Award-winning Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter Obiora Obiwon returns with a brand new single titled, “Conqueror”, after a long hiatus.

Sharing the inspiration and creativity behind the song, Obiora says “The melody for ‘Conqueror’ came to me in a dream while in a hospital battling for my life after a ruptured appendix.”

“I recovered and wrote this song over a period of time. Musically I’m coming from a place where I struggled with my creativity versus conformity in order to be accepted in certain circles.

Creativity won and I’m freely expressing the music I’ve been given as it comes, no holds barred.” – he continues.

“I’m glad to stand in that unique space that fully represents who I am – a sum of all my influences, experiences and journey.

It’s a song of victory, a reminder that we can all win in the victory of the one who conquered all.” – Obiora Obiwon concludes.

The single is an eclectic blend of pop and soul with influences from EDM, Afro and HipHop.

Obiora Obiwon debuted into the Nigerian music scene as a solo RnB artist in 2006 after previous years with budding hip-hop groups, including the award-winning Thorobreds.

He has since released several singles, EPs and four(4) LP albums, three(3) of which focus on Christian/gospel themes.

This new song is produced by Rotimi Keys and is accompanied by a music video directed by MSA.
