Gbenga Samuel is a contemporary praise and worship leader, singer , song writer ,a recording artist, teacher and author, with the passion and mandate to lead the people of God into real worship experience, creating the atmosphere for God to make his presence known when the Saints gathered to worship and teaching the same principle. Like every musician, Gbenga Samuel started singing while he was a teenager in the church choir; little did he know that his strong interest would eventually become his calling. His passion began to grow onward and as a result, a music ministry was born.
While in the university, he had a strong passion to create an environment where Gods people can worship in truth and in Spirit. With this, his first concert was held in 2008 at his home church and that single experience had so much impact on him which made him to organized more concerts. In the same year, he organized a worship concert tagged ‘Be Still’ which earn him a name called ‘Be Still Baba’ among his contemporaries. Till date, Gbenga Samuel have organized about ten worship concerts with testimonies of a change experience, healing and restorations from all the participants. As a recording artist, he recorded his first single title Heal our land in 2009, a song for Nigeria followed by two other songs All other gods and How great.
Following the successful release of three singles, Gbenga Samuel releases another praise song title Come and see (Toya re-praise)
Toya is a song that celebrates Gods faithfulness to the covenant and also encourages people that no matter what one is going through, it will yet to turn to praise. Nigeria, be ready to receive your Contemporary African Praise song for 2014.
