Since the tender age of four, music has been a very big part of her life. As the daughter of a Praise and Worship leader, She learned early on the magnitude of the power that music holds. Music can mend the broken heart, uplift the contrite spirit, and stir the stagnated soul; And she wanted nothing more than to tap into that very power. Now that she has reached age 24, her love for music has grown by leaps and bounds and so has her understanding of its power to penetrate the heart of the listener.
With a genuine heart for people, Genesis believes that God has gifted her to reach people in an uncharted way. When asked- who or what is Genesis? She says, “Genesis is ‘the beginning of something beautiful.’ From my heart to yours and theirs, I share my truth, my hurt, my pain, my joy and my authenticity…as I have embraced “The Genesis”. In 2012, she released her first single, titled “Free to Be Me”, which is a song that encourages people of ALL ages to be who God has called them to be. Genesis just released her highly anticipated debut album/EP (July 2014), entitled “From My Heart To Yours,” available on all digital media outlets.
