[Music + Video] Olulana – Jayce

Nigerian gospel music minister, songwriter, and recording artiste, Jayce releases a new single with well-written lyrics and a music visual titled, “Olulana,” produced by GN.

The Yoruba-titled song [a dialect spoken in the Western region of Nigeria] which means, “Waymaker” in English, serves as a follow-up to the single, “Your Moment,” and comes ahead of his anticipated nine(9)-track album release. The video is directed and shot by A-focus Media and Babatola Works.

Commenting on the song, Jayce says; “This is a prayer-based song heralding God’s awesome power and great ability to heal.”

His soulful tunes capture the essence of his deep spiritual connection, resonating with influences from the greats such as Nathaniel Bassey, Donnie McClurkin, and Kim Burrell.

Lyrics: Olulana (Waymaker) by Jayce

Verse 1:

Eyin nikan, l’asoro mata’se
(You are the only one with the Unchangeable word)
Eyin na ni, otito, ati iye
(You are the truth and the life)

Only you will make a way
For me, turn my night to day
Olulana, wa l’ana fun mi
(Waymaker, come and make a way for me)

Chorus:

Olulana (waymaker), Make a way for me
Oluwosan (great physician)
You’re the God that heals

Come and make a way
Where there seems to be no way
Olulana (Waymaker), make a way for me

Verse 2:

Bi e ti wi, ko ni kò, ko ni yè, rara o
(As You have spoken, it will not change)
Ni iwaju yin, isoro pora o
(Before You all problems disappear)
All your care and all your needs

Bring to Him, Bow down at His feet
Oludande, da owo re le mi o
(Great deliverer, lay Your hands upon me)

Chorus:

Olulana (waymaker), Make a way for me
Oluwosan (great physician)
You’re the God that heals

Come and make a way
Where there seems to be no way
Olulana (Waymaker), make a way for me

End:

Come and make a way
Where there seems to be no way
Olulana (Waymaker)
Make a way for me
