[Music + Lyrics] The Blood – Deborah Ajayi
Dynamic Nigerian female Gospel minister, songwriter, worship leader, and recording artiste, Deborah Ajayi, unleashes a new single with well-detailed lyrics and a video titled, “The Blood,” directed by WaleolaAjayi Visuals.
The song, blending the Yoruba and English languages, joins other works that include; “Ekaabo,” “Oni Majemu,” and the widely accepted single, “Oyinmomo,” all credited to her. Its captivating visual is recorded live at the Blaze Of Worship Concert.
Speaking on the song via her YouTube social platform, Deborah says; “This blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel.”
“You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.” – she concludes.

Lyrics: The Blood By Deborah Ajayi
The blood that speaketh things
Than the blood of Abel
The blood of Jesus
The blood and the lamb
It soothes my doubts and fears
And it wipes away my tears
The blood of Jesus
The blood and the lamb
The blood that gives me strength
And never lose its power
The blood of Jesus
The blood and the lamb
The blood that makes a way
Where there seems to be no way
The blood of Jesus
The blood and the lamb
Chorus:
Eje Jesu o (The blood of Jesus)
Eje Jesu ni mope (The blood of Jesus I plead)
Eje Jesu ma a boo (We call the blood of Jesus)
F’ina Emi mimo gbemi ro (Fill me with your fire)
F’omi ara re we mi ooo (wash me with your living water)
S’ogun aye mi d’ite mo le (make all my battles a footstool)
Yin Baba logo (Give God the glory)
Everybody everybody plead the blood
I plead the blood
The blood of Jesus
I plead the blood the blood of Jesus
Chorus:
Eje Jesu o (The blood of Jesus)
Eje Jesu ni mope (The blood of Jesus I plead)
Eje Jesu ma a boo (We call the blood of Jesus)
F’ina Emi mimo gbemi ro (Fill me with your fire)
F’omi ara re we mi ooo (wash me with your living water)
S’ogun aye mi d’ite mo le (make all my battles a footstool)
Yin Baba logo (Give God the glory)
Everybody everybody plead the blood
I plead the blood
The blood of Jesus
I plead the blood the blood of Jesus
Eje to jeje lo
(The blood that is greater than every other blood)
Ko wa tu mi sile (come and deliver me)
Eje to san ni Calvary (The blood that flowed on Calvary)
Ko wa tu mi sile (come and deliver me)
