CHAPTER THREE
IDENTIFY THE GIANT IN YOU.

The giant in you are of two types; Natural and Supernatural Giant.
The Natural Giant in you are your talents and potentials, and acquired knowledge by information. Although they are all God given, but you need to discover them, not one not two, find them all! Find yourself; you are greater than you think. Exposure and information acquisition skills could help fortify your search. Temperaments could be a good start; either you are a Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic and Phlegmatic. Take a study on these four elements and discover why you act the way you act.
A lot of us have Talents, rich Potentials, but are afraid to show case them and easily give in to discouragement. The same was the case in one of the parables of Jesus;
(Matthew 25: 14-30) “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
“And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
“Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
“And likewise he that had received two, he gained other two.
“But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
Their Lord soon returned and called these servants together to give him account of all they traded with the capital he gave them; since he gave them different percentage capital he expected different results. The one he gave 5 talents produced 5 more talents. The one he gave 2 talents reproduced 2 other talents. Then here comes the third (some of us are in this category) one who was scared to make use of what his Lord gave him, claiming it was too small to reproduce a result.(Matthew 25: 24-25)
(24) “Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee thou art hard man, reaping where thou hath not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed”.
(25) “And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine”.
This is so unfair, to bury the Giant in you due to fear? “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father”.
The Supernatural Giant
Never make fear the giant in you but let the Spirit of God manifest as a shining light! As we can see in the parable of Jesus; the Lord didn’t just give them talents or money, he distributed it according to their various abilities. God knows what we can handle and what we can’t. He won’t give us something mightier than us rather exactly what we need. We should be careful with whatsoever God has given us. We must use it to its maximum and never under estimate or under use it, furthermore, being cautious on how we manage it so we don’t get too loose it quickly. Another description a Giant can be given is light;
“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Mathew 5:16).
The Giant in you could also be described as a light; light-[knowledge, good works]-obviously deletes darkness which is termed fear. Ignorance, fear and other forms of discouragement are darkness. Light poses to be a supernatural affair, so let’s go deeper into it;
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17).
God the Father is the Father of Jesus. He is the Father of light and he gives good and perfect gift to all men. Jesus is the light of the world as well as his followers.
(John 1:4-5) “In him was life; and the life was the light of men-(5) And the light shinneth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
Jesus is the evidence of that light that shines [Let your light so shine] in every true believer through a Christ like behavior-love. At the beginning, it was proved that God is the Father of all lights and it was established;
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:3)
Ye are the light of the world. Christ in you, the hope of glory. The Christ like behavior in you is the light in you if you allow others to see it.
The Giant we have seen so far is described as light, gift, talents, money (which may be earned or inherited), good works, goodwill and other positive advantages related to you are elements of your gigantic prowess. Let your light so shine… that is, profess your talents in a godly manner for godly things. Is not a show off for personal glory which eventually leads to pride but a show off that will glorify God having known all you can do; what you can do is not by your power or might, rather that the will of God is being fulfilled! As a lady, it is often a part of destiny to get married. A giantess would likely want to marry a giant. Here’s the biggest issue that requires most detailed attention to both Spiritually and Physically.
Education
(Physical and Spiritual Giant Nature )
This is now a modern weapon endorsed by parents or people who understand the importance of education. Arranged in different stages, to enhance children and adults with needed basic information; starting from alphabets to obtaining a degree. Along the way, such a person is being built both internally and externally; language and interaction, morals and laws. Education is very important in this 21st century because of the ever changing world especially technology. This creates knowledge for a soul that is willing to learn. (Proverbs 19:2a) “Also, that the soul should be without knowledge, it is not good;” The alphabets and degree in you is one of the giant in you, even if you are a work in progress. We have educational giants; Professors, Dr, PhD-holders, first class candidates, graduates or degree holders, medical doctors, engineers, lawyers and all other profession that is built through education. Educational giants are well respected and highly favored. It also increases values; the amount of bride price that will be paid for an illiterate bride will be smaller to that of an educated bride who is in possession of a high quality degree .e.g. degree, masters, PhD etc.
The stories of our old patriarchs are older than the bible and far from civilization yet it was recorded by a few who were educated at certain levels, most especially the kings, queens, prince, princes, law makers and some priest or prophets. Let me mention but a few.
MOSES: Due to birth circumstances (the king that reigned then ordered the midwives to kill male babies), but he grew up to be an Egyptian. His mother kept him for three months and later put him in a basket on a flowing river which led to the daughter of Pharaoh who had compassion on the child. She (adopted) took custody of the child in which a Hebrew woman-Moses mother nursed the child. Record has it that she was paid to take care of her own child. In the process, the daughter of Pharaoh made him a prince, as her own son in Egypt. As a prince, he learned the laws and customs of Egypt, “And Moses was learned in all wisdom of the Egyptians and became mighty in words and deeds.” (Acts 7:22) He was incarnated with the ways of the Egyptians, dressed and spoke their language but was a blooded Hebrew (Exodus 2:1-11). God also trained him to be a priest and a leader to the children of Israel, by teaching and giving him the Ten Commandments (Exodus 31:18). Making Moses the author of the first five books of the bible namely; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It takes an educated person to understand deeply, and write extensively like he did. Moses is an old patriarch, a gigantic force to reckon with.
PAUL: The apostle to the Gentiles, called Saul. A Benjamite born in Tarsus, Asia Minor. A Pharisee educated at Jerusalem, Roman citizen. Persecutor of Christians. Converted to a Christian, becoming a preacher and writer of the gospel and giving us the clearest concept of Christianity. He wrote 14 epistles {Romans-Hebrews}.
Paul was an educated man, he said it himself “I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day” Acts 22:3. Due to his education, he was able to write 14 books of the bible called epistles, a combination of education and the Spirit of God. Another example is our LORD Jesus Christ.
JESUS; Called Teacher or Rabbi, who knew all things but behaved like man and learned to live like a man. He learned the work of his earthly father Joseph who was a carpenter, and language which he became familiar with as he grew up. He knew the scriptures, laws and doctrines of old, even though He knew is God by nature yet he stoop low to go to the synagogue and learn as though he knew them not. “And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions (47) And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.” (Luke 2:46-47). This gave Jesus a background before his ministry started, that’s why potential Pastor’s needs to learn the scriptures.
It is well established that education is a key to knowing the type of giant in you. If the educated giant in you is a lawyer you can’t subdue a medical doctor in his medical duty, that is, you can’t be better than a medical doctor neither can the medical doctor impress the judge in the court because he is not a lawyer. It is most paramount to identify the giant in you, other areas like; music, dancing, singing, teaching, carrier, job, temperaments and so on according to and through the will of God shall man prosper. Skills acquisition helps to add to our knowledge and skills can even in turn become talents.
King Ahasuerus made Haman the Hammedatha, the Agagite (an Amalekite, enemy of the Jews) a giant. Not by body, but by promoting him far above the princes of the kingdom, “like a vice president of a country”. To a position called Grand Vizier (DARB).
Mordecai and Queen Esther were Jews but the king didn’t have this knowledge neither did Haman (a descendant of the Amalekites). Mordecai being a faithful Jew; knew the history of time past and refused to bow to Haman because of the curse God pronounced on the descendants of the Amalekites see (Exodus 17-16). But this wasn’t mentioned in the book of Esther, yet stated in history that God will from generation to generation fight against them if they rise against his people Israel, and Haman was an Amalekite an enemy to Israel and to God.
Mordecai was the keeper of the king’s gate and every one to enter therein must pass through him. Haman was proud and arrogant due to position and power given him by the king. He was highly respected and anyone he comes across must bow to his allegiance. Mordecai couldn’t just bow to this proud Haman and this did vexed Haman a lot. He later discovered Mordecai was a Jew and came up with a coup plan against all the Jews but he never knew their queen Esther was a Jew.
There is a taste of drama … stay tuned
