THE PARABLE OF THE MISSING 2016 BUDGET.

This is no fun thing to make us laugh at all. By any standard, not even for the joke of it! This is a National Embarrassment and a shame to those responsible for the procurement of the budget.
At Amen-Radio, we are giving a meaningful look into the situation; a different approach to this event that will help us understand the gravity of what has happened and what needs to be done.
Mark 15:4; “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”
Many of us may not view Jesus as an Economical adviser. What we know about him is not enough. Look at Jesus in this dimension, his ministry is all encompassing. Check what Isaiah said about his ministry in-
Isaiah 9:6-7; “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this”.
SINCE the prophets gave us this description about Jesus, about his ministry, his government, then I suggest that we follow the principles of his government. His government is not just in heaven, it is in the Church, infact it is the Church and in the hands of those who believe that he is Christ. He expects our political leaders to follow his path but the case is different today. No wonder Nigeria is facing this embarrassment. It is not enough to say the 2016 Budget is missing but the attitude of leaders towards the search is immature. In this modern world of high technological advancement, should we say that such a document is really missing? Na lie!
Jesus said if something important is missing then the leader must go after it, giving a thorough search. The Leader is responsible for the securing it and if the case arises that it goes missing then, he has the power to find it.
Jesus said and read it between the lines, in his words;
Mark 15:4; “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”
When he advised to leave the ninety-nine and go after the missing one-the hundredth, it means put every other issue or matter on a secondary level and make the missing budget paramount in all things. The attitude of this presents leaders is synonymous to the previous government, when the Chibok were apprehended by the Boko Haram sect. Their attitude towards the search of those kids has put their lives in serious jeopardy and the result is as it is till date. This so called ‘missing budget’ should be a chance for this government to prove their difference against the previous government. Some of us take the gospel of Jesus to be a religious ideology, same goes for some government officials. He had predicted that such a thing as this will happen, he therefore said, ‘seek for it;
Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
It should be to us that some set of wicked politicians are using this scandalous act to delay the possible changes procured in the budget, not favorable for them. It is time we speak up as Nigerians that care about our national status. Let us not keep quiet and say, ‘they are just playing politics’. Whatever it is they are playing is going have grave consequences on citizens, civil workers and every other responsible worker within the federation. Without the budget, we can’t claim about any record of any expenses that will be done this year, therefore stealing will not be traced to offenders. Fraudulent activities will become normality because ‘some people’ are playing games. Let us embrace this change and in unity, we can maintain the constant change. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
