Speaking about the inspiration behind the album project, Philip says, “It all started with divine inspiration to compile indigenous songs I grew up with, the songs that shaped the greatness of God and provoke thoughts that attract me into His inner courts.
These songs need little or no accompaniments to attract you into the great depths of His presence.”
With a strong passion for God’s presence, He worships intensely and encourages others to do the same.
Philip’s music ministry has grown and translated into various musical experiences, which include leading worship at gospel concerts, praise gatherings, church conferences and various conventions.
When asked how his music is a ministry, he shares, “music is the way I relate more intimately with God. It is my undeniable and sure access to God. I have seen Him move quickly when I raise my voice in praise, to the glory of His name.”
Philip’s Christian journey is expressed in these lyrics:
“In Christ alone my hope is found; He is my light, my strength, my song; This cornerstone, this solid ground, Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace, When fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My comforter, my all in all Here in the love of Christ I stand.“
As for the overarching goal for his ministry, Philip desires to be a golden and choice vessel that God will be proud to present at any time, for His glory and honour, using 2 Tim 2:20, as an anchor.
2 Tim 2:20 “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour.
