Zlatan Ibrahimovic welcomes himself to LA Galaxy with a huge Advert on LA Times

Former Manchester United man (yes! now former so quick) Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s has again shown his usual bold self announcing his huge move to Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy via a full page advert in the LA Time, just few days after leaving his former club.

The veteran forward left most of the space on the Friday’s edition of the newspaper advert blank, with just the words “Dear Los Angeles, you’re welcome”, at the top and his signature underneath.

Also shown is the post was a picture of Ibrahimovic in an LA Galaxy jersey leading the fans on to salivate for his complete arrival as soon as possible.

The picture describes a fearsome Ibrahimovic with both fist pumped out like a giant ready to devour with his mouth wide open like a lion’s roar, and captioned with an headline “He’s hard to ignore”.

United agreed an early termination of his contact, which was due to expire in the summer after 20 months at the club, before he made the switch to the US to start a new phase in his career for the nothing but much time left for 36-year-old’s career

Speaking with LA Times, Ibrahimovic said “After being in Europe, winning 33 trophies, playing in the best teams in the world, playing with the best players in the world, I wanted to come to the US and play my game there,” the Swede told the LA Times.

“I wanted people to enjoy my game there and to win. And I chose the Galaxy to do that.”

‘I am ready to go now. First of all, I am there to play football. I’m not there for something else. My first objective is to play football and do what I’m good at.

‘I’m excited to come over and get the experience with the Galaxy and explore how the football is there. I want to be part of it and make it better,’ he added

The official confirmation of Ibrahimovic’s signing will be announced by the MLS club later on Friday.

 

He was also asked during an interview with The Paper on Thursday if Los Angelia was big enough to handle his personality, the striker always having plenty to say replied saying, “If it’s not, I’ll make it bigger.”

The former Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSG forward scored 29 goals in 53 games for the Old Trafford side, winning the EFL Cup and Europa League and has featured only seven times for United this season since damaging his cruciate ligaments last April in the Europa league

President of Galaxy owner AEG told the LA Times, “He’s giving up a lot to come here, he’s made it clear he’s coming here to win championships. It’s not about the money.

“LA is a place for stars, and he’s going to be one of the brightest stars that’s ever played in this market – in any sport.”

The Swedish who possibly might be coming out of retirement to play again for the Sweden national team if need be, posted an image IG page some days back to bid his English team farewell, he accompanied the image with the caption:

“Great things also come to an end and it is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United.

“Thank you to the club, the fans, the team, the coach, the staff and everybody who shared with me this part of my history.”

At LA Galaxy he will be paid a whooping £1million per-year tho lower than his pay grade at his former club and has signed a contract for the rest of this season.

His new fans at LA could see him in action as soon as March 31 against rivals LAFC.

The stage would be perfectly set up for him to begin with a bang and endear himself to supporters with a derby goal.
