FREDERICK DOUGLASS AND HIS PRAYER LIFE.

Frederick Douglass is awake and starts his morning devotion with these strange prayers;
“Father open doors unto me like mad.”
“Father let me have crazy testimonies.”
“Father let me meet insanely rich people.”
“Father let my wife love me like Juliet loved Romeo.”
“Father let my car be super fast like the speed of sound.”
He got up from his knees and rushed into the bathroom, preparing for the day’s work. Driving out of his garage, approaching the Fifth Street, he slows down as the traffic officer beckons at him to halt before he makes way to the major bridge, the Fourth Mainland Bridge. Soon his car made an unusual sound, so he decided to stop and check. While he was yet at the rare engine of his car, he never knew a mad man had made entrance into his car. He fixed the uncertain sound and wanted to get back into his. The Mad man opened the door and poured on his clean shirt a bucket of mud. Frederick immediately rushed home to change his clothes, the traffic warder that directed him before, he met again on his way home. The Traffic Warder told him to turn when the traffic light turned red. He asked the Traffic Officer if he his crazy but the Traffic Officer replied, “NO, you are the crazy fellow to believe such a mad thing, when we all know Red means STOP.”
He eventually got to work but very late. His boss got furious and asked Frederick if he is mad. Frederick was surprised as to why his boss will ask such an insulting question.
Sunday soon arrived and some members of his church began to share the testimonies of what God had done for them during the course of the week. Frederick decided to join and said, “I thank God because I saw a gold wrist watch on the floor and picked it, sold it. But the person I sold it too gave me a fake currency worth #200,000 (Naira). I got offended and reported my case to the police, and then the police asked, where is the fake currency? I said, “I have spent it!” An honest Pastor came up to comment on his testimony and said, “That is a crazy testimony, Frederick repent!”
Another Monday morning, Frederick is ready to work and plans to get a contract. His mail box notified him about a certain Company who was interested in giving him the contract. He changed his plans to visit the Company. Getting to the Company, he saw the owner of the Company giving his Twelve years old son a Ferrari, a driver and 40 armed body guards. Frederick said to the owner of the Company, “You are insanely rich!”
He was irritated and left the man. He went to visit another man who could offer him the same contract. There was a birthday party going when Frederick arrived. Frederick made his presence known to the man. The daughter of the man who was celebrating her birthday said, “Daddy can you give me Five Billion naira to celebrate this birthday again for Seventy Two hours, and the Dad agreed, gave her the money. Frederick told the man, “You are crazy Sir!” He began to wonder why he had met insanely rich people in one day.
He drove home wondering why God gave money to insane people, as he parked carefully into his garage. He heard a loud noise coming from his matrimonial room. He dashed off to the room without turning his car engine off. The door of his room was left ajar. His wife, Tabitha was about to hang herself with the ceiling fan. Frederick was stunned, wondering why his lovely wife will want to kill herself. She said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
Frederick said, “Why did you misinterpret that scripture from John15:13. She said, “I didn’t misinterpret it, I just wanted to prove that I love you!”
He saved her from her foolishness and decided to take her to the church councilor. As soon as he ignited the car engine, he found himself in the church premises. He shocked, initially he thought he had disappeared but when he kicked start the car again, he realized that he was moving so fast that he got back to his house within a matter of seconds.
Then he remember all his strange prayer points
“Father open doors unto me like mad.”
“Father let me have crazy testimonies.”
“Father let me meet insanely rich people.”
“Father let my wife love me like Juliet loved Romeo.”
“Father let my car be super fast like the speed of sound.”
He soon realized that God answered all his prayers.
Therefore he understood that God answers prayer and he needed to be careful what prayers he should pray to God but he was lost of words until…
